Emily, Your photos are excellent and I enjoyed your descriptions very much. Proud of you for forging ahead in your mastery of the German language. We are especially proud that you have become proficient on riding a German bicycle....they are very utilitarian and used by the locals for as long as they can walk. Our friend in Hanover had parents that were still riding theirs when they were approaching 80 at least.
You haven't mentioned the weather. I recently heard from Mary Catherine that her neighbor has been in England for a month and had rain every day except one during that time.....including a substantial hailstorm. We hope that you are faring better!
